There are many reasons why people choose to renovate their homes. Despite the benefits that are derived from renovating a premise, the exercise is risky. Costs may go higher than planned due to unforeseen factors. It also calls for good management of time as one goes through the project. However, for any renovation in Brisbane to go in the right order, then one has to follow a few guidelines. These are:

Do your research: There is no point starting out on a renovation without any sense of direction. But good research well in advance will open up your mind to the many possibilities that are available. The internet is a good place to start your research. One can get many pictures of actual renovation ideas even before you get down into business. One can also get advice from builders and home magazines.
Be prepared: Being prepared is the key to a successful renovation job in Brisbane. Try and gauge the magnitude of your renovation and then act based on it. If the work is too big then you may have to move out of your home temporarily until the renovation work is completed. It will also be necessary t vacate the house is the renovations are in the interior as this will raise dirt, dust and a lot of noise.
Manage your neighbors: Neighbors can be one very tricky lot. Some truly understand while others can make your work very hard. The best thing is to convince them to be on your side. You may start by informing them to expect noise for a number of days. One can also consider “bribing” them with gifts such as a bottle of wine or a Sunday afternoon tea with biscuits.
Design your renovations: Any Brisbane renovations you are going to undertake must be well designed and in compliance with local building regulations. A good design should take into account the actual architecture of the house and its aesthetic look. The resulting renovation must also be of a good pattern and style, which matches with the one of the original house.
Mind the costs: Brisbane renovations can turn out to be very costly if one doesn’t stick on a design and its attendant budget. So it is important to draw up a budget upfront. This will give you a good indicator of what to expect as far as the bill is concerned. Simple renovations are likely to cost less than complex designs. Also, keep in mind that changes made midway through the renovation may be increase the expenses so sticking to your plans is advisable.

Rock of Ages is a rock/jukebox musical, with a book by Chris D’Arienzo, built around classic rock hits from the 1980s, especially from the famous glam metal bands of the decade. The musical features songs from Styx, Journey, Bon Jovi, Pat Benatar, Twisted Sister, Steve Perry, Poison and Asia, among other well-known rock bands. It is directed by Kristin Hanggi and choreographed by Kelly Devine with music supervision, arrangements, and orchestrations by Ethan Popp. The show is noted for being more lighthearted and comedic than other shows on Broadway. During performance, the performers frequently break the “fourth wall”, directly addressing the audience and seemingly forgetting (or perhaps reminding the audience) that they are actors in a play.

Narrator Lonny sets up the story: In 1987, an aspiring rocker named Drew Bowie works as a busboy in the Hollywood bar/club called The Bourbon Room, owned by Dennis Dupree (“Just Like Paradise/Nothing But A Good Time”). He falls instantly for a girl, Sherrie, who just arrived from Kansas hoping to make it big in acting (“Sister Christian”). After being hired as a waitress in the club, Sherrie urges Drew to go after his dreams (“I Wanna Rock”).

German developers, Hertz and his son Franz, convince the city’s Mayor to abandon the “sex, drugs and rock-n-roll” lifestyle of the Sunset Strip and introduce “clean living” into the area, much to the anger of the City Planner, Regina. (“We Built This City”). When Dennis learns that part of the plan involves demolishing The Bourbon Room, he believes the club can generate more money by having rock star Stacee Jaxx and his band Arsenal, who recently announced their break-up, perform their last show at The Bourbon (“Too Much Time On My Hands”). He calls Stacee and convinces him to play the band’s last show in the club where he began. Regina begins protesting Hertz and Franz’s redevelopment plans (“We’re Not Gonna Take It”).

Later, Sherrie argues with her parents during a phone call, and Drew struggles to write lyrics that mean something (“More Than Words/Heaven/To Be With You”). Drew invites Sherrie to have a picnic in the hills overlooking Los Angeles (“Waiting For A Girl Like You”). There, he mistakenly suggests that the two are just friends to calm their nerves, disappointing both of them and ruining the date.

Stacee Jaxx arrives at The Bourbon and gives an interview about his life (“Wanted Dead Or Alive”). Sherrie is immediately smitten with him, and believing she means nothing to Drew, has sex with Stacee in the men’s room (“I Want To Know What Love Is”). Drew plays in the club and displays enough musical ability that Dennis asks him to open for Stacee and Arsenal. After their tryst, Stacee tells Dennis to fire Sherrie before the concert begins.

His guitarist realizes what Stacee did and knocks him out. A record producer in the club suggests Drew take over for Stacee, and then offers him a contract, which he accepts. Sherrie seeks comfort from Drew after she is fired (“Cum On Feel The Noize”), but having seen her go into the men’s room with Stacee, he dismisses her. Regina continues her protest(“We’re Not Gonna Take It”).

An upset and unemployed Sherrie meets Justice, the owner of a nearby strip club named the Venus Club which Justice prefers to call a gentleman’s club. She relates to Sherrie’s story, saying that many of the small-town girls hoping to hit it big in LA end up making a living as strippers. Grudgingly, Sherrie accepts Justice’s offer to work in her club (“Harden My Heart/Shadows of the Night”). As the act closes, everyone is alone – Drew, as a new record company star; Sherrie, fending for herself as an exotic dancer; Regina protesting the redevelopment and Dennis, trying to save his club (“Here I Go Again”).

A wedding is a special event in our lives. More than the romance that most people associate a wedding with, it is an occasion when two people unite for life with the commitment of taking care and loving each other in times of sorrow and happiness. Wedding customs and rituals may differ across the world, but the essence of the event remains same – it combines trust, hope and of course undying love for each other. Both men and women’s wedding bands come in a variety of styles and metals. Common metals that you find in these bands include gold, silver, platinum or titanium. Despite its high price, people prefer platinum and titanium for women’s wedding bands, mainly because of its durability. Nevertheless, the most common metal used is gold.

When you venture out to buy women’s wedding bands the best option is to go to a reputed jeweler and check out whether the band fits your finger and suits your style.

You would also get to see whether the metal and the color of stone used, if any, look nice on your finger. There are plenty of designs available in wedding bands and choosing one is not a big problem. For example, you might find that a simple and thick band is what suits you best rather than an elaborate and intricately designed wedding band.

It is also possible for women’s wedding bands to have special inscriptions or designs engraved on them. For example, the bride and the groom can agree on a specific inscription including the wedding date and year, two names or a symbol, which signifies love and togetherness appearing on both the wedding bands. Some American women choose a Celtic knot on the ring to represent unity and love. If you are keen to add a stone to the ring, think of your or your partner’s birthstone on the wedding band.

All these inputs add a special meaning and significance to a wedding ring.

To make the job of choosing the right type of band from the large variety of women’s wedding bands is to scan through the special catalogue at the jewelry store. You may even get many ideas if you do online search for designs and styles. All printed brochures and jewelry websites mention the price tag along with the designs to help you with the budgeting. Of course, if you were looking out for a personalized design for your wedding band, you would have to order it especially from your jeweler.

The World Health Organization (WHO) created World No Tobacco Day (WNTD) in 1987 as a way to bring worldwide attention to the tobacco epidemic we’re up against on the planet today. The first World No Tobacco Day was celebrated on April 7, 1987. Since then, it has been observed on May 31st of every year.
The Tobacco Epidemic – A Global Crisis
Each year, WNTD highlights a different facet of the dangers we face from tobacco use. These efforts to raise awareness on a global level are powerful stepping stones that will help break the hold that Big Tobacco has on us.
WNTD 2010
Gender and Tobacco With an Emphasis on Marketing to Women
Here in the United States, it used to be that smoking was a pastime reserved for men, and the diseases that follow tobacco use were theirs to shoulder as well. Most women didn’t smoke.
That all changed in the early 1900′s when tobacco companies realized that with a bit of carefully crafted marketing targeted at women, they could coax a lot more revenue out of the population. After that, it wasn’t long before women started sharing the burden of smoking-related diseaseswith men, and death by tobacco became an equal-opportunity killer.
According to the WHO, of the more than one billion smokers in the world today, approximately 20% are women. In some countries though, that percentage is growing due to aggressive advertising aimed at women in particular.
This year’s WNTD campaign shines a spotlight on the marketing tactics of tobacco manufacturers and how they relate to the rising number of young girls who are starting to smoke in countries around the world.
Highlighted in the WHO’s new report, Women and Health: Today’s Evidence Tomorrow’s Agenda, the WHO emphasizes the need to protect all people, not just women, from the deceptive tactics of tobacco advertising.
While tobacco use is hazardous to the health of both men and women, there are some dangers associated with tobacco that affect women specifically:
Women who smoke often have more trouble conceiving a child than nonsmoking women.
Smoking while pregnant increases the risk of premature delivery, low-birth-weight infants, stillbirth, and sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS).
Women smokers who take birth control pills increase their risk of having a stroke, narrowing of blood vessels in the body and blood clots.
Women smokers have an increased risk of cervical cancer over nonsmoking women.
Women who smoke often go through menopauseearlier than nonsmoking women and experience more severe menopausal symptoms than women who don’t smoke.
Postmenopausal women smokers tend to have lower bone density than do women who do not smoke.
Women smokers have a higher risk for hip fracture than their nonsmoking female counterparts.
A Call to Action
WNTD 2010 – Gender and Tobacco With an Emphasis on Marketing to Women encourages governments around the world step up and take action. Nations must protect all of their citizens from ruthless tobacco marketing campaigns, with an eye toward safeguarding the health and well-being of their female citizens, the mothers of the world’s future generations.
If you or a loved one needs quit smoking help, please use the resources below to get started on the path toward freedom.

A diamond ring is one of the most well-known symbols of being engaged and what better way to compliment it than with platinum wedding bands at marriage ceremony. The reasons to choose a diamond band may vary but they all come back to the eternal love that is shared by a couple.

Whether you choose to purchase matching wedding bands, a beautiful matching diamond band for ones engagement ring or just a style band you love there are many different ones to choose from. Diamonds can be set in many different styles such as pave, bezel, channel or prong on any design to create the band of your dreams.

However, before buying diamond wedding bands there are some of the things that you should consider before making your purchase.

Here are some tips for buying diamond wedding rings.

1. Search online for diamond wedding rings

You can easily search for the price, options and available designs of wedding ring which are sold today.

Online jewelry retailing websites are some of the best resources for information on the latest trends from designers, timeless classics and unique styles. Even if you know few things about purchasing diamonds, there is usually Q & A sections and expert consultants you can contact to answer your questions without the pressure of shopping in a traditional jewelry store.

2. Read reviews

As important as the ring you choose is who you choose it from. Make sure to check online and see what other couples are saying about the online or retail store you are buying your ring from. Feeling comfortable buying the ring from someone you have confidence in will make the experience all that much more enjoyable.

3. Consider your own personal style

Many people will have suggestions as to what the “best” design is. At the end, you and your partner will be the ones wearing those rings. Some of the latest designs may not be your personal taste. Do your research, find the style that fits your taste, and find rings in that look-it’s that simple.

4. Price

Price is a major consideration if you want to buy a diamond ring. The price of a ring can vary according to the size, quality and cut of the diamond, the style in which the stones are set and the precious metal (gold, platinum, palladium etc.) in which they are crafted. All these factors need to be taken into consideration if you are going to invest on a ring.

Always remember when comparing prices that all these factors must be equal, or as close as possible, to make an informed decision. If two rings look alike but the clarity of the diamonds in one are SI and the other VS, the VS quality stones are much more expensive than that of SI. Just as if one ring is 14K white gold and one is platinum. They might both be white in appearance but since platinum is 95% pure platinum in jewelry and 14K gold is only 58% pure gold the platinum ring is considerable more expensive. Best said is buyer beware, you usually get what you pay for.

JAPAN appears to have stolen a critical lead in a battle with China and South Korea to develop the world’s largest single source of lithium.

At stake is potential access to the lithium reserves of Bolivia’s Salar de Uyuni salt desert and the huge advantages that it would confer as nations jostle to gain early supremacy in the manufacture of electric cars.

However, the extraction rights that Japan has won are not exclusive and Bolivia is keen to continue stoking what has been, for the impoverished South American country, a uniquely lucrative and arbitrary beauty contest of rich Asian nations.

Yuko Yasunaga, director of mineral resources at the Japanese Trade Ministry, said that it remained likely that the South Koreans and Chinese might still be invited to participate in the same experiment or to conduct their own.

“I would say that (this deal) puts us in the paddock for the race,” he said.

The deal may represent a psychological setback for South Korea, which signed a memorandum of understanding in September that appeared to make Seoul the most-favoured partner.

That agreement was signed after an onslaught of diplomatic flattery and financial support by South Korea, but even its architects admitted that it did not “definitely separate us from rivals in acquiring development rights”.

Bolivia may even be widening the field of potential partners just as it signs its deal with Japan.

Sources at the main Salar de Uyuni site in the central Andes said that over recent weeks delegations of scientists and mining engineers had arrived in the arid Bolivian Altiplano from Iran, Brazil, Russia and Canada with a view to offering their own partnership deals.

France and Finland have emerged previously as possible rivals to the Asians.

As the scramble for resources has intensified, attempts to secure development partnerships with Bolivia have grown more elaborate and desperate – before even a single ounce of commercially viable lithium has left its brine lakes.

All three Asian governments have spent recent months bombarding the mercurial President Morales with the full arsenal of diplomatic and commercial entreaties.

They have offered everything from schools and sewage works to development cash and state visits.

The deal struck between the Bolivian Government and Japan’s state-backed consortium of academic institutions and companies gives the Japanese “participation rights” in a test project. The 18-month experiment aims to demonstrate that lithium can be extracted at Uyuni on a commercial scale and that the Japanese technology is, as its developers claim, the most effective way of achieving that.

Nobody is keener to start the extraction process than Mr Morales, but his country lacks the technology to develop the lithium resource on its own. He has used this situation, according to companies in Tokyo involved in the project, to make potential partners as generous as possible.

In one of his many shifts of position, Mr Morales declared last month that he wanted Bolivia to have its own lithium battery industry – an ambition, some say, that stretches the limits of logic or practicality.

But while Mr Morales may be difficult to deal with, his suitors are effectively forced to accept his sudden changes of heart. Unless a viable alternative to lithium is found for batteries, the most bullish projections for electric car demand will require the resources of Bolivia to be tapped soon to take some of the supply strain off Chile, the largest existing supplier.

Japan, which imports about 86 per cent of its lithium from Chile, is desperate to prevent global control of lithium slipping into Chinese hands. Japan’s high-tech industry is already threatened by China’s dominance of rare earth metal production: Beijing’s recent diplomatic row with Tokyo allowed China to demonstrate that power when a sudden trade embargo in September starved Japan of vital minerals.

If you are looking for the best video coverage or production of any event, try video production Sydney. You will not regret. The city has almost everything you will need for a good video production. This could not be the case in other big cities, therefore, just try Sydney alone.

There are so many video producers within the city to cater for you needs. They are friendly people and will treat anyone well irrespective of his or her class or even race. One good thing about them is that, even if you may feel that their prices and quotations are too high, you may still negotiate and bargain till you reach at a price that you are comfortable with.

While there may be several producers here, it is wise to consult only reputable ones. The ones that have been in the industry for a very long time and have served a lot of clients.

This way, you can be assured of quality work and value for your money.other producers can also be contacted but one has to be sure that they will do excellent work.

Finding these producers is not hard. All of them have personal addresses and business addresses.they are listed in all the major and minor Australian directories. Some of them are also listed in international directories and can be consulted from anywhere in the world through their respective websites.

One good thing about the producers is the fact that one can deal with them online. This is mainly through their websites and sometimes, blogs. Here, it is possible to begin negotiations about a production and seal a deal. After paying the necessary fee they will give you an appointment.then you certainly can visit their offices on the day they told you they would be waiting for you.

Each time you are online, .

Beware of scams. They exist even here in Australia. Very little has been done to cub them so they are born every single day. The easiest way to identify them is through their cheap offers and discounts. They use the cheap offers that are non existent to have your attention. Then they easily swindle your money by taking off or closing their blog or site immediately you pay them

For those who would like to study video production, there are so many schools here offering the course.; they do this at an affordable rate so anyone can afford to attend their classes. From these schools, it is possible to have your video produced by the students. This is great as the students always quote very low prices since they are learners in the production exercise.

Lastly, before consulting any producer, it is wise to know a good number of them. Do not just accept to work with the first one you come across. Take time to know most of them and compare their terms and services. By doing this, you get to learn a lot of things about videos. You also get you know who is the cheapest in the market and who will server are treat you like a king or queen.
